still.life (one)

An opportunity to reflect on my surroundings. To breathe in the rare moments of stillness in my world. To celebrate simple abundance in my daily life.

1. I am fascinated by the way the beans know how to climb.
2. Somewhere new to sit. Thanks Aldi and your random products!
3. Hair accessories have become rainbow sprinkles on our floor.
4. A humble harvest. We followed a renowned textbook for growing potatoes (The Potato People by Pamela Allen) and it worked! Home grown taties.
5. I picked up this mag on a whim. Very. very glad I did, you should check it out, too! The Simple Things.

Joining with Em, of The Beetle Shack, and a whole bunch of lovelies linking up.

  1. I'm always amazed when I check on the beans to see how much they grow in a day. We also enjoy removing veggies from the earth, our Jerusalem artichokes kept the girls digging with shrills of delight when they found a big one.

  2. I know hat you mean about the beans, put their tendels against a trellis and they curl and twirl around all on their own.
I haven't noticed that magazine before, will have to look out for it.

  3. Gorgeous pics, how clever of you to make floor detritus look artistic! At my place the dust bunnies would ruin the ambience. Have not read that Pamela Allan,my Liongirl loves her books. mel x

    1. yes, do join in Rhi! these photos are actually raw, shot on the canon with a 50mm fixed lens at a low apeture. If i want to do cool edits and effects i now mostly use the editor on photobucket as i'm too lazy to open photoshop ;)
